Description
The Sunnybrook Research Institute, affiliated with the University of Toronto, is seeking a Regular Full-time Research Coordinator to contribute to various studies focusing on CBT and mindfulness-based psychological treatments.
The successful candidate will work closely with Dr. Neil Rector and other team collaborators to contribute to the development and implementation of various research initiatives and will be responsible for recruitment, tracking participants through various clinical study protocols, contributing to data management and analysis, and overseeing different projects. There will be opportunities for manuscript development, grant writing mentorship, and a range of other collaborative research opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Participant recruitment at Sunnybrook and helping with the coordination of recruitment at collaborating sites
- Assist in the co-ordination of tracking of all participants including maintaining records of participant contact, participant interviews, return of self-reports, and issuance of participant compensation
- Conducting screens to determine participant eligibility
- Conducting semi structured interviews
- Contacting participants to complete online questionnaires
- Scheduling diagnostic interviews for other clinicians/research staff
- Liaison with investigators and study staff to ensure the consistency and quality of all study procedures
- Liaison with study clinicians and the co-ordination of data collection
- Monitor project requirements in order to ensure that data and procedure flow are in accordance with study protocols
- Collecting, organizing, managing, coding, and analyzing quantitative data
- Preparing research ethics board applications and maintaining study compliance with all terms
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in psychology with extensive research experience. A Master’s degree in psychology is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a strong capacity for teamwork
- Research experience in psychology or related discipline
- Experienced with organizing, managing, coding, and analyzing quantitative data
- Experience and proficiency with software such as SPSS, EndNote, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Bilingualism (English, French) is an asset
- Ability to commit for a minimum of 1 year
- Ability to work independently as well as within a collaborative environment
