  Sunnybrook Centre for Independent Living (SCIL) is currently looking for a Registered Prosthetic Technician to join our team to provide the highest level of patient care to a diverse and wide range of adult amputees primarily in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).  As a Sunnybrook team member, we offer a competitive salary and benefits package. As a member of a multidisciplinary team, the Prosthetic Technician will work in conjunction with our Certified Prosthetist teams to manufacture and/ or repair prosthetic appliances. They should be familiar with common prosthetic applications and processes as well as knowledgeable in material management.   Responsibilities include and are not limited to: Fabricate and finish all types of endo- and exoskeletal prostheses Fabricate and assemble conventional and myoelectric prostheses Experience in Thermoforming and lamination processes Knowledgeable in all aspects of technical manufacturing Repair and service various types of prosthetic devices Experience in handling tools and machinery commonly used in the prosthetic field Workshop care and maintenance Collaborating with patients and Prosthetists regarding technical patient care issues.   Qualifications/Skills: Prosthetic Technician, OPC Registered preferred 2 years experience as prosthetic technician Demonstrated manual dexterity skills for technical work Strong communication and interpersonal skills Must be able to work efficiently in a team environment Ability to effectively problem-solve technical issues
