Medical Laboratory Technologist - Anatomic Pathology - Regular Part-Time 2026-16549

Summary of Duties

The MLT candidate will provide practical and subject matter expertise of routine and special techniques in a clinical Histotechnology laboratory. Works with medical staff, management, peers, and internal and external users to ensure quality patient care services are maintained. Seeks opportunities to improve services throughout the quality management cycle by identifying, evaluating and implementing technological enhancements and conducting workflow analysis using LEAN principles. Participation at internal and external meetings and committee work is required.

Qualifications/Skills

• CMLTO registration as a General Medical Laboratory Technologist required

• Recent experience in Histology in a clinical setting required

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all members of the team, both internally or externally to the department

• Required to work in a dynamic, busy environment with excellent organizational skills

• Demonstrated sound theoretical and practical knowledge of Histotechnology with effective trouble-shooting skills

• Knowledge of LEAN principles and quality assurance in a clinical laboratory

• Demonstrated effective communication both written and oral

• Experience with Copath LIS- preferred
