Description
The Dr. Sandra Black Centre for Brain Resilience & Recovery is currently seeking a part-time Junior Imaging Analyst focusing on SPECT (Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography) to join our neuroimaging laboratory. Our neuroimaging group specializes in the development and application of cutting-edge multi-modal brain imaging analyses to study neurovascular and neurodegenerative diseases causing dementia. Under the supervision of Dr. Sandra E. Black and Dr. Katherine A. Zukotynski, you will report to the Imaging Lab Manager, receive direction from other clinical research staff, and work with the team to develop high quality neuroimaging software.
Your primary responsibility will be to develop research software and workflows for the processing and analysis of SPECT (Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography) scans, to extract biomarker data to further our understanding of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience, Psychology, Biomedical Engineering, or other related discipline
- Experience in neuroimaging software development pertaining to SPECT reconstruction and analysis workflow development
- Exceptional attention to visual details
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Able to adapt to rapidly changing schedules and priorities
- Self-motivated, eager, independent learner
- Able to explore and design innovative approaches to addressing novel research questions and techniques.
Any of the following would be considered an asset:
- Experience with academic/clinical research studies
- Experience with neuroimaging analysis
- Co-authored conference abstracts, presentations, or publications
