Job Title: Workplace Technology Engineer


Overview

We are seeking an Intermediate to Senior Workplace Technology Engineer to support readiness activities for our upcoming building move and ongoing workplace technology initiatives. This role sits within our Client Technology Engineering / Digital Workplace team, with a focus on end-user computing and enterprise readiness.

The successful candidate will work on a mix of project-based engineering tasks (meeting rooms, devices, printers) as well as broader technology initiatives in partnership with our Workplace Technology team.


Key Responsibilities

Meeting Room Readiness

  • Lead migration from meeting accounts to a new solution leveraging Windows Shared PC Mode.
  • Design, implement, test, and validate meeting room solutions.
  • Transition solutions to Techbar team and provide documentation.

Device Readiness

  • Develop and implement solutions to manage Dell monitors, including firmware updates and remote configuration automation.
  • Provide recommendations and processes for monitor staging (unboxing, setup, connection).
  • Ensure laptop Wi-Fi readiness and validate GlobalProtect VPN functionality.
  • Leverage Intune, SCCM (Configuration Manager), PowerShell, and other deployment tools for software and device management.

Printer Readiness (lower priority, but valuable skillset)

  • Test and validate new printers (on-site Nov-Dec).
  • Ensure printers work with embedded solutions (no SR25 hardware dependency).
  • Coordinate deployment and conduct validation once building access is granted.

Additional Activities

  • Collaborate with Workplace Technology team members on initiatives across devices, printers, policies, and endpoint engineering.
  • Ensure solutions are enterprise-ready, secure, and fully validated before deployment.


Must-Have Skills
  • Intune (device management)
  • SCCM (Configuration Manager)
  • PowerShell (automation, scripting)
  • Windows Shared PC Mode setup and configuration
  • Dell monitor readiness (firmware, configuration, automation)
  • Strong understanding of Group Policy
  • Experience in validating enterprise solutions (use cases, test criteria, functionality testing)


Nice-to-Have Skills
  • NexThink (Digital Employee Experience)
  • Printer management software (e.g., Tharos or similar SaaS solutions)
  • Microsoft Teams AV/meeting setup experience
