Our valued client is looking for a Sr. Project Manager to support various projects, including Government Programs.


The work may be performed virtually. However, the national headquarters is located Ottawa and regional offices are in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Montreal and Halifax. The position will adhere to the

hybrid model required on site at the office, if the successful candidate lives within 125 kms of any office


Tasks include:

  • Develop and maintain integrated project documentation, schedules and budgets
  • Produce project data accurately, timely and coordinated.
  • Implement project documentation governance aligned with CMHC’s Enterprise Project Management Office.
  • Track progress against goals, objectives, benefits, approved budgets and timelines; and report status and variances.
  • Develop and assess change requests to determine their impacts to scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk.
  • Provide integrated change management support through project delivery.
  • Support contract management oversight, keeping track of all important details of an agreement, including key deliverables and milestones, deadlines, and other requirements.
  • Document project risks, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks
  • Ensure all documentation associated with projects meets defined quality standards for the program and as completed within required timelines


Must have:

  • Reliability clearance
  • PMP or equivalent cerification(s), experience, or combination of both for one of the following: at least 5 years, for Level III; 10+ years, for Level IV
  • Experienced in the fields of Government Programs project delivery.
  • Development and delivery of solutions by various teams/resources/SMEs.
  • Ability and experience with varying technologies.
  • Technology solutions scoping, requirements gathering, development, testing and operationalization.
  • Schedule management.
  • Stakeholder management.
  • Project financial management.
  • Ability to manage the efforts of project coordinators and analysts.
  • Ability to identify project risks, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.
  • Experience working with third party technology vendors.
  • Knowledge of Insurance products and processes.
  • Experience delivering initiatives using Hybrid and Agile project management methodologies, tailoring the approach to align with stakeholder requirements, project complexity and risk
