Our client is seeking a Sr Business Systems Analyst to define transition requirements and assist in the full decommissioning of a legacy ERP


Initial contract goes till end of March 2026 with possibilities of extensions. 35 hours/week. First 4 days of contract to be on-site for onboarding. Following that, 2 days/week on-site (Weds and Thurs) and occasionally more as needed. Remote candidates can be considered, but must be able to come onsite for first week for onboarding and 1/month after.


Must Haves:

  • Defining transition requirements for system decommission projects (full decommission of a complex system).
  • Hardware and infrastructure assessment
  • Experience analyzing the components' interactions and data flow for the current design and future design.

Desired:

  • Strong understanding of Banner, Luminis, Xtender, and document management systems.
  • Experience with Oracle Stack and decommissioning techniques.
  • Delivery of professionally written documentation that adheres to IIBA standards, ensuring clarity and precision in the definition of requirements.


Responsibilities include:

  • Hardware and infrastructure assessment.
  • Analyze the components' interactions and data flow for the current design and future design.
  • Analyze current system architecture.
  • Analyze access and licences implications.
  • Analyze and create inventory of modules, integration points, and bolt-ons.
  • Analyze dependencies and impacts and apply techniques for phased decommissioning.
  • Analyze and provide requirements for the decommissioning plan and approach (including parallel run requirements based on timelines and dependencies defined for other projects).
  • Defines requirements for data migration and system integration for system decommissioning.
  • Define and document dependencies and transition requirements.
  • Assess impact of decommissioning on business process and system integrations.
  • Define requirements and solution design for post-decommissioning integrations.
  • Assess and document considerations for the closing of contracts and related agreements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of accountability and responsibility in managing and delivering business analysis activities.
  • Exhibits exceptional organizational skills and time management, effectively managing multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Takes ownership of tasks and ensures that business analysis deliverables are completed on time.
  • Provide comprehensive documentation on all analysis performed.
