Our Valued Public Sector Client is seeking a Senior System Administrator to preform installations, upgrading, and maintenance of software and hardware within a classified environment.

Project Description:

This project is to support the overall maintenance, life cycling, consistency, and alignment of a DND information systems network to align with Canada’s Defence Policy.

Must Haves:

• System Administrator (10+ years)
• Installing, monitoring, upgrading and maintenance of hardware and software (10+ years)
• System backup and recovery (10+ years)
• Secret Clearance

Responsibilities:

• Must perform advanced configuration support to complex server-based systems maintaining and supporting the integrity of the operating system environment and various computer systems:
• Install, monitor, upgrade and maintain operating systems;
• Install, monitor, upgrade and maintain hardware and software;
• Work with business analysts, project managers, developers, and clients/stakeholders to maintain and improve software performance;
• Apply problem solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems;
• Ensure timely and reliable system administration procedures, such as backup and/or recovery; and
• Analyze system performance and recommend improvements.
