Location Address: Hybrid - Toronto - 3-4 days/week

Subject to change: 3-4 days onsite may be required based on business needs

Contract Duration: 6 months (Possibility of extension & conversion to FTE)

Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week

Story Behind the Need

Business group: CBPE Deposits Engineering - taking care of day-to-day banking for pricing rates applications; HM is taking care of QA part of application platform under deposits domain; 15-20 people on the team

Project: This role is very important for HISA project due to high visibility - High Interest Savings Account project - new end trust that is being implemented. This role will function as insurance for quality delivery. AI engineer allows us to rapidly allow test coverage and reduce the likelihood of visible production issues.

Typical Day in Role:

• Work closely with business units and product owner to analyze, document, and redesign processes for optimal automation efficiency and AI integration

• Develop detailed process documentation, including process maps, workflows, and automation specifications

• Establish governance frameworks, standards, and best practices for AI development and deployment

• Conduct thorough assessments of existing business processes to identify opportunities for automation and AI enhancement

• Lead the design, development (including hands-on coding/prototyping initially), testing, and deployment of pilot and production AI agent solutions

Look for opportunities to automate and where AI can be used

There is an AI team so will work with them to understand their requirements

Mix of automation and AI

Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success and ROI of implemented AI agents (e.g., time saved, cost reduction, process improvement)

Mentor and guide engineers, promoting shared ownership of quality

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

1) 8+ years of QA/software engineer experience with understanding of software development best practices

2) 4+ years of automation skills in VB script, Java (Selenium), UFT

3) 4+ years’ experience Python or Java and relevant AI/ML libraries

4) Experience with AI development and deployment

Nice-To-Have Skills:

1) 2-3 years of main frames experience

2) Certifications : Selenium/GCP/Azure AI certifications a plus

3) API automation

4) Experience in regulated industries like banking, insurance

Education:

Bachelor’s in technical field

Certifications : Selenium/GCP/Azure AI certifications a plus

Best VS. Average Candidate:

Ideal has great hands-on experience with AI, and test case creation and execution; working experience with Selenium
