Our valued non-profit client is seeking a Senior SharePoint Consultant to redesign SharePoint hubs, site structures, and architectures to enhance usability and discoverability

Initial 3-month contract opportunity with possibility of extension. 100% remote in Ottawa, ON (Eastern Standard Time). 7 hours per day, Monday to Friday. Part-time options may be available.

As the successful candidate you will review the client's existing environment, redesign and optimize hubs, and provide recommendations rooted in current Microsoft best practices. The consultant will be key in enhancing the user experience, improving search functionality, and helping unlock value from SharePoint and the broader Microsoft ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

• Assess the current SharePoint environment and identify areas for improvement.
• Redesign SharePoint hubs, site structures, and architectures to enhance usability and discoverability.
• Implement and advise on best practices for SharePoint, aligned with Microsoft’s latest recommendations.
• Optimize site search, content organization, and navigation for internal and external users.
• Design user-friendly experiences that encourage greater adoption across the organization.
• Provide guidance on Power Automate and Power Platform integration within SharePoint.
• Deliver a well-developed, actionable roadmap for ongoing SharePoint optimization and governance.

Must-have Skills:

• Demonstrated expertise in SharePoint Online architecture, configuration, and optimization.
• Strong understanding of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and evolving SharePoint best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Power Automate, Power Platform, and related Microsoft tools.
• Experience designing and structuring hubs, navigation, and search.
• Proven ability to enhance adoption and usability across diverse user groups.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to document and present recommendations effectively.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Previous experience working in short-term consulting or assessment engagements.
• Familiarity with content governance and long-term SharePoint adoption strategies.
• Experience collaborating with UI/UX teams to align SharePoint solutions with design standards.
