Senior Project Manager to lead a portfolio of business and technology enhancement initiatives

Our client is a leading financial services organization. They are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead a portfolio of business and technology enhancement initiatives.

Duration: End of 2026 (to start)

Location: Toronto (1-2 days/week onsite)

Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end delivery of multiple technology and business platform enhancement initiatives.
• Partner closely with technology teams and business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into executable delivery plans.
• Manage and coordinate work across multiple vendors, including systems integrators and SaaS providers, ensuring alignment to timelines, scope, and quality expectations.
• Drive Agile/Scrum delivery, facilitating ceremonies and ensuring effective use of JIRA and Confluence for tracking, reporting, and documentation.
• Lead Project Kickoffs and Steering Committee meetings with executive leadership, providing clear, concise updates on progress, risks, dependencies, and decisions required.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, RAID logs, and financials while navigating tight deadlines and aggressive timelines.
• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate delivery risks, escalating issues as needed to maintain momentum and executive confidence.

Must Have Skills:

• 8+ years of IT Project Management in complex technology-driven environments
• Experience delivering platform enhancements, ideally within payments, loyalty, or financial services ecosystems
• Demonstrated experience leading SteerCo meetings with senior and executive leadership
• Strong vendor management experience, including systems integrators and SaaS providers
• Proven ability to lead Agile/Scrum delivery using JIRA and Confluence
• Strong ability to manage tight deadlines, competing priorities, and multiple workstreams
