Our client is Canada's largest canadian retialer. They are looking for a Senior Project Manager (non-technical) with with M&A / major corp transitions experience to support a large-scale corporate divestiture and transition initiative.


  • First couple weeks 2x a week - meet the team and understand dynamics….
  • Then once comfortable 1-2x a month
  • 1yr contract - Brampton

Role Overview:


We are seeking a Senior Project Manager (non-technical, generalist) to support a large-scale corporate divestiture and transition initiative within a regulated financial environment. This role will lead delivery oversight, including the migration off one systems and onto another companys platforms.

This is a functional delivery and stakeholder-focused role, responsible for big-picture coordination, tracking, and execution across multiple subsidiaries and workstreams. The PM will work closely with executive stakeholders, legal, compliance, and operational teams to ensure milestones, risks, and dependencies remain on track.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery oversight for divestiture and transition initiatives across multiple subsidiaries
  • Drive integrated project plans, timelines, dependencies, and executive-level reporting
  • Manage complex stakeholder relationships, including internal business leaders, external partners, and vendors
  • Track and manage risks, issues, and critical milestones, escalating proactively when needed
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (legal, compliance, operations, finance, technology-without owning technical delivery)
  • Ensure governance, approvals, and decision logs are clearly documented and maintained
  • Support executive communications with clear, concise status updates and delivery insights
  • Maintain focus on outcomes, scope control, and delivery health, rather than technical execution


Must-Have Qualifications

  • Project Management experience in large, complex enterprise environments
  • Proven experience leading divestitures, M&A integrations, or major corporate transitions
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
  • Non-technical, business-focused PM background (functional delivery, not hands-on technical execution)
  • Experience working in regulated industries (banking, financial services, insurance, or similar)
  • Exceptional planning, tracking, and reporting skills with the ability to manage ambiguity
  • Comfort operating at the big-picture level while keeping critical details in check
