Location Address: Hybrid - Toronto - 3-4 days onsite

Contract Duration: 6 months (Possibility of extension & conversion to FTE)

Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week (Possible OT)

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Power Platform Developer. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in PowerApps and Power BI development, with a strong understanding of related Power Platform components like Power Automate and Dataverse. This role requires a proven ability to work effectively with complex text-based data, thrive in a high-visibility environment with scrutiny, and deliver exceptional results under aggressive timelines. Excellent communication skills are paramount.

Typical Day in Role:

• Design, develop, and deploy robust and user-friendly PowerApps solutions to streamline business processes.
• Develop and implement Power Automate flows with error handling and parallel flows to automate workflows and integrate Power Platform solutions with other systems.
• Create compelling and insightful Power BI reports and dashboards, leveraging various data sources, with a particular focus on text-based data analysis and visualization.
• Architect Dataverse schemas, security roles and business rules.
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical specifications, and propose effective Power Platform solutions.
• Optimize existing Power Platform applications for performance, scalability, and user experience.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security within all developed solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and support to end-users as needed.
• Participate in high-visibility projects, comfortable presenting progress and solutions to senior leadership and adapting to feedback under scrutiny.
• Manage multiple priorities effectively and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and innovative Power Platform solutions.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with project managers, team members, and stakeholders regarding progress, challenges, and solutions.

Must Have Skills:

1) 10+ years of hands-on experience in Power Platform development, including canvas apps, model-driven apps, and Common Data Service (CDS)/Dataverse.

2) 5+ years of experience with Power Apps, Power Automate (workflow automation and integration), Dataverse, Sharepoint and scripting (Powershell). Experience with integration to Azure services, REST APIs and custom connectors.

3) 5+ years of experience wiht SQL and, preferably, experience with MS T-SQL. (Creation and maintenance of RDBMS and exposure to NoSQL database types)

4) 3+ years of extensive experience in Power BI development, including data modeling (Power Query, DAX), report design, and dashboard creation.

5) 5+ years of experience with SharePoint Online and its integration with Power Platform

Nice-To-Have Skills:

1) Familiarity (3-5 years) with Agile development methodologies.

2) •Proficiency in working with and transforming diverse data sources, with a strong emphasis on extracting insights from and visualizing text-based data.

3)Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate or other relevant certifications

4)Hands-on experience with Power App-embedded conversational chatbots using Microsoft Copilot Studio.

5)Experience with other data visualization tools or programming languages (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis.

Education: Post-Secondary diploma degree in Business or Finance related Fields

Best VS. Average Candidate: The ideal candidate would be a strong back-end developer with strong power platform experience and would be able to hit the ground running.
