Our energy and resources client is seeking a Senior Power BI Developer (5+ years) to deliver end-to-end Finance BI solutions using Power BI

Join a technical team driving Finance reporting transformation within a leading energy organization. This role leads backend-focused Power BI solution development, emphasizing data modelling, DAX, and production-grade scalability across enterprise finance datasets. The position offers strong ownership over solution architecture and integration from ERP and Excel sources. Successful candidates will have a hands-on mindset with deep technical focus on delivering robust, reliable reporting solutions.

Must Haves

• Advanced Power BI expertise focused on data modelling, DAX, and semantic model design
• Proven ability to deliver end-to-end, production-grade Finance BI solutions
• Strong troubleshooting across data integration, model performance, and optimization
• Experience integrating data from ERP systems, Excel, and enterprise datasets
• Post-secondary education in a relevant field

Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure Databricks and DBSQL
• Ability to trace data from ingestion through transformation to reporting
• Strong SQL querying and validation skills
• Knowledge of enterprise data platforms and pipelines supporting semantic models

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Power BI datasets and semantic models supporting Finance reporting and planning
• Develop advanced DAX logic for financial calculations including variance, forecasting, and allocations
• Build scalable, reusable Power BI solutions aligned to single source of truth principles
• Integrate and transform data from ERP, Excel, and enterprise sources
• Translate Finance requirements into clear, scalable solution designs
• Optimize model performance, refresh processes, and report usability
• Support validation, UAT, and production readiness of BI solutions
