Our client has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Network Operations Consultant with strong Cisco switching and routing experience to provide hands-on expertise in a large, complex enterprise network environment.

6-month assignment with possible extension.

Must Have:

• 8+ years of Network Operations Consultant experience
• Deep, hands-on expertise with Cisco switching and routing (configuration, optimization, troubleshooting)
• Proven experience operating in large, complex enterprise network environments
• Strong knowledge of core networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS)
• Demonstrated experience providing senior-level operational and escalation support
• Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder-facing skills
• Comfortable working in structured IT environments with defined processes and change controls

Nice to Have:

• Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent experience)
• Experience with network automation or scripting (Python, Ansible, etc.)
• Familiarity with firewalls, load balancers, or SD-WAN technologies
• Exposure to wireless or cloud networking (AWS / Azure)
• Experience aligning work with ITIL or similar operational frameworks

Responsibilities:

• Provide senior-level operational support for enterprise network infrastructure during the contract period.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, acting as a top-tier escalation point.
• Support network upgrades, optimizations, and targeted improvement initiatives.
• Review existing network configurations and recommend best-practice improvements.
• Assist with network design validation and implementation as required.
• Produce clear documentation, diagrams, and knowledge transfer artifacts.
