Senior Java (Spring, Hibernate) Developer to upgrade Java applications and Wildfly servers to the latest Java version.

Our retail client is looking for a Senior Java Developer to upgrade applications and Wildfly servers to the latest Java version.

6 month contract to start, possible extension. Hybrid working model - 2 days a week mandatory onsite in Burnaby office.

Must Have Skills:

• 6+ years of experience as a Java Developer, with experience upgrading Java applications and/or Web Services from an older version to Java 17 or newer.
• Experience with application servers such as Wildfly (upgrading from 1x to version 33)
• Experience in relational databases such as MS SQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle DB
• Experience with version control tools such as Subversion (SVN) or GIT/GITHUB.
• Experience in SSO (Single sign-on), federated security, or JSON Web Tokens.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as Angular 2 or higher, React.js, and/or Node.js.
• Experience with Bootstrap, Spring, and/or Hibernate development.
• Experience in SOAP and/or (REST/RESTful) APIs.
