Senior Java Developer to modernize the current suite of applications that make up the end-product report authoring system

Our valued Public Sector client is in need of a Senior Java Developer to modernize the current suite of applications that make up the end-product report authoring system

Tasks may include:

• Develop release schedules:

a) Provide support in the development of work breakdown structure for project activities.

b) Provide support in the development of activity and task duration and scheduling estimates.

c) Maintain up-to-date activity/task status information within project tracking databases.

• Analysis, design, implementation, testing, and roll-out of application development capabilities:

a) Configure a development environment and backend servers to support the application development to initiate and kick-start the development project.

b) Contribute to the analysis, design, architecture, development and testing of new applications as prioritized by the Technical Authority.

c) Perform software programming in Java to produce applications that support highly available usage for more than 100 concurrent users.

d) Perform unit testing of object-oriented software using test frameworks including producing and executing unit test cases and documenting the results.

Must Have Skills:

• 10+ years experience as a Java Developer
• Experience developing large scale web applications with Javascript
• Experience developing Angular (version 4 or higher) applications
• Experience supporting search indexing platforms (ElasticSearch or Lucene)
