Senior Guidewire Tech Lead for Large Integration Project within the Insurance Industry

Location: Toronto, Kitchener, Mississauga, Montreal

Hours: 40/Week

Contract: 6 Months + Possibility of Extension

• Lead hands-on development using Guidewire (Gosu), with an emphasis on integrations and platform enablement.
• Provide technical oversight for all Guidewire-related activities across the team.
• Approve and review code, design, and architecture from other developers.
• Drive decisions on architectural direction, scalability, and long-term sustainability.
• Interface with business pods and influence how net-new business features are integrated into the core platform.
• Lead the transformation from a legacy ESB integration platform (IBM) to microservices-based APIs.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders, engineers, QA, and architects.

• Perform complex development work and guide other engineers.
• Manage and resolve production support issues and bugs.
• Make team-wide decisions on Guidewire architecture and best practices.
• Represent the platform team in planning and technical discussions.
• Ensure all Guidewire enhancements are aligned with cloud upgrade and platform goals.

• 12+ years of experience in Guidewire development and delivery
• Proven leadership experience across 5+ full-cycle Guidewire implementations
• Strong experience in Guidewire Cloud and PolicyCenter
• Hands-on Gosu programming expertise
• Guidewire Certified (PolicyCenter or general GW certifications)
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead in a collaborative environment

• Experience with APD (Advanced Product Designer) implementations
• Familiarity with EARNIX
• Cloud upgrade experience - AWS Guidewire upgrades (done twice a year)
