Our financial services client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst (5+ years) to manage financial reporting integrity within Finance Controllership

Join a finance controllership team responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial and management information. This 12-month hybrid contract supports continuous month-end reporting and general ledger close processes. The role offers visibility across capital markets and corporate finance stakeholders while ensuring high-quality financial data integrity and compliance.

Contract, Toronto, Hybrid - Mondays and Tuesday are core days and the fourth Friday of each month.

Must Haves

• 5+ years in financial analysis or controllership within financial services institutions
• Advanced Excel skills including formulas, VBA, and macros
• Capability to investigate accounting issues and assess end-to-end process integrity
• Accuracy managing large volumes of financial data
• Education in accounting or equivalent professional designation

Nice to Have

• Experience with lending products, terms, interest, and fees
• Knowledge of General Ledger applications such as SAP or Oracle
• CPA designation and understanding of IFRS standards
• Familiarity with ACBS systems

Responsibilities

• Oversee the accuracy and integrity of financial and management reporting
• Investigate data discrepancies and ensure timely month-end reconciliations
• Contribute to journal entries, financial analysis, and balance sheet activities
• Support Finance-owned SOX control execution and risk identification
• Review monthly and quarterly close results, resolving exceptions proactively
• Develop and communicate analytical summaries to managers and finance partners
• Contribute to continuous process improvements within finance operations
