Senior Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) System Administrator / Functional Consultant to support configuration, administration, integrations, and business operations within D365.


Location: Remote (EST Hours)

Duration: 6 months (Extensions likely)


Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) System Administrator / Functional Consultant to support configuration, administration, integrations, and business operations within D365. This role will help stabilize and expand the current F&O environment by taking over day-to-day platform responsibilities currently handled by developers. You will work closely with Finance, Operations, and Business Systems teams to manage system configuration, security, workflows, entity setup, and data management without requiring custom development.


Responsibilities:

  • Own configuration and administration of Dynamics 365 F&O - no custom development required
  • Set up and configure new legal entities and support existing ones using templates
  • Manage user administration, security roles, and permissions
  • Configure workflows, approval processes and business rules
  • Manage data migration, data entities, and data integration functions
  • Work with integrations using Workato (no-code integration platform)
  • Configure core Finance and Operations modules:
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable (AP/AR)
  • Procurement and Sourcing
  • Inventory Management
  • Costing
  • Collections / Dunning (expanding functionality)
  • Administer environments through Lifecycle Services (LCS) and Azure DevOps
  • Troubleshoot functional and system issues, escalate to devs only when needed
  • Create documentation, process maps, configuration instructions
  • Provide user training, support, and stakeholder communication
  • Collaborate closely with internal developers and business SMEs


Must Haves:

  • 5+ years experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O)
  • Strong functional configuration experience in Finance & Supply Chain modules
  • Hands-on system administration: security roles, workflows, data entities
  • Experience with environment management and deployments via LCS
  • Proven experience with data migration, data import/export, and integration concepts
  • Strong understanding of data structures and data modeling inside D365
  • Experience working with no-code integration platforms (e.g. Workato, Boomi, MuleSoft, Power Platform)
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills - business-facing role
  • Ability to translate business needs into system solutions


Nice to haves:

  • Experience configuring dunning and collections modules
  • Exposure to Azure DevOps pipelines for release management
  • Familiarity with Finance operational processes (month-end, reconciliation)
  • Understanding of API-based system integration
  • Experience in SaaS, manufacturing, or supply chain environments
  • Microsoft Dynamics certifications (MB-300, MB-500, MB-700)
