About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior Development Manager to lead and mature a team of six developers with a strong focus on data governance, data harmonization, and environment stabilization. This is a non-hands-on leadership role that requires deep experience managing data-driven environments, improving data infrastructure, and leading full-stack development teams.

The immediate priority is to consolidate fragmented data sources into Azure OneLake, build strong data governance processes, and lead data migration efforts. You’ll also be responsible for mentoring developers, implementing delivery discipline, and creating scalable engineering processes in a fast-moving, lightly structured environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 6 developers, with a focus on data-centric project delivery

• Drive data harmonization across platforms and eliminate fragmented data silos

• Oversee migration and consolidation of data into Azure OneLake

• Implement and enforce data governance standards, policies, and structure

• Build structure, process, and delivery discipline in a loose startup-style environment

• Provide technical oversight (not hands-on) to guide full stack development: React front end and Microsoft backend stack

• Mentor and cross-train developers, growing both technical and soft skills

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data teams, and technical leadership to deliver aligned outcomes

• Maintain a stable production environment while guiding continuous improvement

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• Proven experience with data harmonization and governance

• Strong background in data migration, particularly within Microsoft ecosystems

• Experience consolidating data into Azure OneLake or similar cloud data lakes

• Ability to define and drive data architecture strategies and policies

• Experience managing full-stack development teams

• Technical understanding of React (front end) and Microsoft stack (.NET, C#, SQL Server) familiarity with Node.js

• Experience creating process and structure in unstructured or startup-like environments

• Comfortable coaching and developing mid-level developers

Nice to Haves

• Experience with low-code tools like Power Apps or RPA platforms

• Familiarity with Power BI and managing BI or reporting teams

• Exposure to Snowflake and other modern cloud data platforms

• Understanding of RPA (Robotic Process Automation) workflows and implementations

• Experience in environments with evolving or limited technical maturity
