Duration: 6 months (possibility to extend)

Office Location: Downtown Toronto - Hybrid, every Tuesday and the second Friday of the month

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm - 37.5 hour

What does the LOB do: HR Technology Team supports enterprise-wide HR operations through a suite of Vendor SaaS solutions and internally managed integration platforms. The team owns and maintains core data integration pipelines, ensures secure file exchanges, and delivers complex HR technology projects involving back-end systems, ETL platforms, and SaaS vendors.

This role will play a critical part in the team’s high visibility migration initiative, modernizing ETL workflows and re platforming legacy pipelines.

What project will this contractor be working on?

Migration of existing Informatica workflows to Azure Databricks

Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and analyzing existing Informatica mappings, workflows, and dependencies

• Re designing and rebuilding pipelines using Databricks notebooks and Azure components

• Supporting ongoing SaaS integrations (file feeds, SSO, vendor integrations)

• Ensuring scalability, data quality, and secure implementation during the migration

Job Description:

You’ll be joining the HR Technology Team, which supports HR business operations through various vendor SaaS applications. The team ensures seamless data integration between systems and delivers enterprise-scale projects involving multiple back-end systems and SaaS integrations.

Design & Development

• Lead and coordinate advanced application programming activities.

• Architect technical infrastructure using databases, programming languages, utilities, and testing frameworks.

• Deliver cost-effective, scalable, and innovative solutions that enhance user experience.

• Perform and coordinate complex programming with SQL and Python scripting.

• Design technical integrations using FTPS deployment and PGP encryption.

• Develop and support current Informatica ETL processes.

• Support SaaS integrations (SSO deployment, file integrations with 3rd-party vendors).

Leadership & Collaboration

• Conduct code reviews, and ensure project alignment.

• Mentor intermediate and senior developers, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Application Support

• Provide problem resolution during business hours for supported applications.

Must Have Requirement:

5+ Years Data Bricks experience

3-5 years of hands-on experience in Informatica Development

5+ years working with Oracle and SQL (data extraction and batch processing)

5+ years of Unix Scripting (file movement and extract generation)

5+ years of experience with Autosys (job scheduling)

Experience with Azure Cloud technologies

Best VS. Average: Strong experience with Informatica, Autosys, and Azure is highly valued.

ETL expertise, particularly with Informatica, is a critical requirement and prioritized over banking industry experience.
