Senior Data Product Manager with a strong understanding of Cloud Concepts related to data pipelines to support the end to end lifecycle of data products- 39532


Location Address: Toronto - hybrid - onsite 3x/week

Contract Duration: March 16th - 10/31/2026 (Possibility of extension and conversion to FTE)

Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week (Possible OT)


Story Behind the Need

Business group: GWM Data Management Office

Project: Project Road

The Data Product Manager plays a vital role within the Global Wealth Management (GWM) Data Centre of Excellence (Data CoE). This role supports the end-to-end lifecycle management of data products. The Data Product Manager will collaborate with business analysts, technology partners, and data stewards to gather requirements, assist in product development, and ensure the delivery of high-quality data products that align with GWM's data strategy. This role is focused on the execution of the data product roadmap and contributes to fostering an insights-driven culture.


Typical Day in Role:

• Support the end-to-end data product lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to development, user acceptance testing, and launch.

• Assist in maintaining the data product backlog, writing user stories, and prioritizing features based on business value and user needs.

• Ensure data products adhere to established data governance policies and quality standards.

• Assist in the documentation of metadata, data lineage, and quality rules for data products.

• Execute data quality checks and support the monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for data products, helping to identify and triage issues.

• Work closely with business analysts and end-users to understand and document detailed data requirements.

• Serve as a point of contact for project teams, helping to clarify requirements and facilitate communication between business and technology stakeholders.

• Contribute to the development of data products by analyzing data, identifying patterns, and providing insights to the Senior Manager.

• Support the team's use-case-based approach to growing data product capabilities by focusing on the detailed execution of the product roadmap.



Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

1. 3+ years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, or a related role

2. Strong understanding of cloud concepts related to data pipelines

3. 3+ years of experience with SQL for data analysis

4. 2+ years of experience presenting (must have strong presentation skills)

5. Strong proficiency in MS Tools (Excel, PPT, Word)


Nice-To-Have Skills:

1. Knowledge of the Wealth Management or Financial Services industry

2. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker)

3. Knowledge of databricks

4. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies


Education: Undergraduate degree in technology, commerce, or a related field


Best VS. Average Candidate: The ideal candidate will have strong data analysis skills and would be very well organized.
