Senior Data and AI Governance Analyst to establish and maintain data governance and data management practices for our Oil and Gas client (Req 10185)

Our Oil and Gas client is seeking a Senior Data and AI Governance Analyst to establish and maintain data governance and data management practices

Candidates will be working in-office in downtown Calgary 5 days/week.

Must haves:

• 5+ years of experience in data governance or data management role in SAP with a focus on reporting (Power BI preferred)
• Experience with Data & AI Governance frameworks and best practices
• Previous Oil and Gas experience
• Familiarity with data privacy laws and regulations.
• Databricks experience

Nice to haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Data Science, Business, or related field.
• Certification in data governance (e.g., DGSP) is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Support Enterprise Data & AI Governance Framework - Contribute to the development, maintenance, and communication of data and AI standards, policies, and procedures, including the creation and upkeep of the business glossary to ensure clarity and consistency, while maintaining adherence to regulatory requirements and organizational objectives.
• Enable and Support Data Stewardship - Onboard, train, and guide Data Stewards on DQ concepts, tools, and governance best practices, fostering cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Implement and Maintain Data Quality Framework - Support the setup, execution, and ongoing optimization of data quality processes across business domains, ensuring alignment with enterprise data governance standards.
