Senior Data Analyst to conduct analyses on marketing data platform insights to support audience strategy, segmentation and analytical requirements

Our client, Canada's largest retailer, currently has an opening in their Technology and Analytics Customer Data Platform team for a senior data analyst, to help support analyses of audience data on their data platform, as well as marketing and customer data related to paid media.


Start Date: ASAP

End Date: December 31, 2026, possibility of extension

Location / In-office cadence: 2-3 days in office, Brampton or downtown Toronto (Lakeshore/Bathurst)


What you'll do:


  • Conduct in-depth analysis of CDP ID resolution and C360 results to identify trends, patterns, and insights in support of audience strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Manager to present findings to business unit Spoke teams, providing actionable recommendations based on the analysis.
  • Utilize query logics to translate audience requirements into audience prototypes.
  • Collaborate with the Data Core team to provide clear and comprehensive requirements for the production of data products.
  • Ensure that the data products enable Spoke teams to perform analytics on customer data effectively.
  • Develop and build robust visualization and analytics products to help Spoke teams better understand their customer base.
  • Utilize tools and technologies to create user-friendly and insightful visualizations and analytics products.
  • Build audience segments in CDP and push them to the activation platform.
  • Continuously monitor and aid Spoke teams to adopt the use of CDP for self-serve segmentation needs.
  • Build audiences for experimentation in the experimentation platform for all LOBs
  • Develop comprehensive training materials to educate Business Unit (BU) partners on the platform and its functionalities.


Must Haves:


  • Solid ability to query transactional, loyalty raw data using SQL
  • Tenured experience in data analysis, audience insights, and analytics, preferably in a marketing or audience analytics role.
  • Good business acumen and strong communication skills with the ability to articulate insights to both technical and non-technical teams


Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with customer data platforms and audience strategies
  • Experience with GCP or BigQuery
  • Hands-on experience with media buying platforms (ex. Google, Meta, Pinterest, etc.) to create segments, push audiences live and prepare audience analysis
