Location: Toronto (Hybrid, 3 days a week)

Contract duration: 03/03/2026 to 12/31/2026 (possibility for extension)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Description:

Senior Business Data Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Leads sessions with the business to gather requirements and get sign-off.
• Produces and maintains Business Requirement Document (BRD), source to target mappings (STM) and other Data Analyst related documentation.
• Ensures that project team delivers a data asset that meets business requirements.
• Liaises with various teams and stakeholders to get alignment.
• Data analysis, data profiling and metadata collection
• Leads UAT activities with business and obtains sign-off

Story Behind the Need-Business Group & Key Projects:

Key Projects: Module stream, looking for someone who has a strong background of market and investments. Need to work on the data and the data warehouse. Someone who can build a data warehouse or data lake. Reporting to the Lead Data Analyst within the GWAM Data Office/ Engineering team, the Senior Data Analyst is responsible for working with the Data Management and Delivery team, as well as other project teams, to ensure the data components of solutions provide the appropriate value to the business users, and are aligned with the organization’s data strategy.

Must Have Skills:

1. 7+ years experience as a Business/ Data Analyst preferably in the capital markets, finance and Wealth Management domain
2. 3+ years experience working with Cloud data platform, Azure, AWS etc.
3. Experience with data-centric projects delivering the following (preferably within a capital markets or investment banking domain): Master data management, Data integration, building/enhancing Data warehousing or data lake. Big Data environment for analytics
4. Familiar with data model, data warehouse, and data ingestion, needs to be able to provide input to data modeler.
5. Hands-on data profiling, writing SQL queries to analyze, validate data and provide results to business users or project team members.
6. Experience in major trading platforms, book of record systems, performance management platforms, such as Bloomberg Polar Lake, SimCorp Dimension, Findur, Apex, Eagle, Charles River, Sylvan, Calypso.

Nice-to-have skills:

1. Gen AI working experience
2. Working on customer digital platforms

Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Interview Process: 2 rounds; would do 1 round if the profile is strong
