Our client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with experience working enterprise web-based educational platforms to lead stakeholder requirements and agile ceremonies for a public sector client. (EDC-25-09)

Please note due to submission limitation and the competitive nature of this role, only candidates with the most clearly related project experience will be considered.

Must Haves:

  • 7+ years as a Business Analyst working on agile web-based software development projects with the following experience:
    • Eliciting and documenting requirements in the form of user stories with acceptance criteria.
    • Leading stakeholder requirements meetings and facilitating agile ceremonies (e.g. story breakdown, backlog refinement, sprint planning) in remote or hybrid work environments.
  • Facilitating agile ceremonies (e.g. story breakdown, backlog refinement, sprint planning, etc.)
  • Using collaboration tools such as Miro (or equivalent) and task management tools such as Azure DevOps (or equivalent).
  • Experience as a business analyst working on large-scale, web-based educational platforms

Responsibilities:

  • Provide business analysis services in support of new LearnAlberta.ca and related applications in an agile environment.
  • Elicit business requirements from business users and subject matter experts.
  • Gather, analyze, document and validate new and existing business processes.
  • Provide user mockups and low fidelity designs.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings and capture documentation and minutes.
  • Review business analysts’ deliverables to ensure quality.
  • Write user stories and manage product backlogs.
  • Assist in operational rollout and support.
  • Lead and conduct user acceptance testing.
  • Lead or assist in the development of business cases and other technical documents as needed.
  • Escalate issues and risks, as appropriate.
  • Provide stakeholder training.
  • Engage and interact with the technical team.
