Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to help implement COT (commercial off-the-shelf) solutions and in-house application development within a complex transportation portfolio

Calgary-based client. Candidates will work a Hybrid work model of in-office and WFH

Must Haves

• 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst implementing software solutions (COTS and in-house development)
• 7+ years in translating requirements into technical specifications for large-enterprise software solutions
• Experience supporting enterprise integrations across multiple stakeholder groups within IT and business units
• Previous experience as a Software Developer, or in a technical role

Nice to Have

• Experience working within the public sector or large organizations
• Post-secondary education in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline
• Background in application design, software implementation, upgrades, and documentation
• Experience writing user stories for Agile development
• Knowledge of Agile practices and familiarity with the Scrum Master role

Responsibilities

• Gather and document user requirements following our clients standards
• Recommend technical solutions and prepare design documentation per approved methodologies
• Coordinate project tasks, test plans, and user acceptance testing (UAT) activities
• Plan releases and manage transition activities to support teams
• Facilitate requirements sessions and knowledge transfer among technical and business stakeholders
• Provide regular status reporting and communication across a diverse stakeholder base
