Senior Business Analyst to define requirements, processes, and data needs for an internal geospatial platform supporting

Our valued public sector client requires a Senior Reliability Cleared Business Analyst (10+ Years) to define requirements, processes, and data needs for an internal geospatial platform supporting impact-based weather forecasting and emergency response.

The Business Analyst will support the development of the Integrated Severe Weather Impact Database (ISWID), a centralized, internal-facing platform designed to capture, store, and visualize severe weather impact data to enhance impact-based forecasting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead business analysis planning and stakeholder engagement to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Develop and maintain key project documentation, including the Business Analysis and Requirements Document (BARD), process models, requirements matrices, user stories, and data requirements documentation.
• Elicit and document user and technical requirements, ensuring feasibility and alignment with project scope.
• Analyze and map current and future-state business processes related to event data capture and usage.
• Develop detailed functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and supporting artifacts.
• Define data needs, sources, and standards, identifying access methods and governance considerations.
• Maintain requirement traceability throughout the project lifecycle, supporting prioritization and implementation planning.

Must Haves

• Federal Government Clearance
• 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
• 3 years in the last 10 years as a Business Analyst in the Government/Crown Corporation
• Valid Business Analyst Certification (ECBA or CCBA or CBAP or AAC or PMI/PBA)
