Our public sector education client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst (10+ years) to support the Virtual Delivery Studio project within the Projects & Continuous Improvement Office.

Join a high-impact initiative supporting the development of a new satellite campus in Banff, focused on implementing a Virtual Delivery Studio connecting the main campus and Banff instructional spaces. This project is currently in discovery phase, requiring both analytical expertise and project coordination leadership within academic and technical environments. The role supports business and technical requirement definition, RFP development, and alignment with institutional procurement and ITS standards. This contract engagement offers a key role in enabling virtual learning innovation for a leading educational institution.

Must Haves

• 10+ years in business analysis supporting academic or public sector environments
• Proven experience leading requirements gathering, process mapping, and RFP development
• Background coordinating with ITS teams and managing stakeholder workshops
• Ability to document and translate business requirements into functional specifications
• Relevant post-secondary education in business analysis or related discipline

Nice to Have

• Experience in academic technology environments or audiovisual integration projects
• Familiarity with hybrid or remote delivery models such as HyFlex or simulation-based teaching
• Understanding of institutional procurement processes within education

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate business use case discovery activities through workshops and stakeholder engagement
• Act as project coordinator by scheduling deliverables, milestones, and communication materials
• Review design drawings and advise on audiovisual requirements and alignment with plans
• Document instructional and operational use cases for the Virtual Delivery Studio
• Facilitate research into peer institution delivery models and learning technologies
• Support creation of RFP materials including scope definition, timelines, and evaluation criteria
• Collaborate with ITS to ensure requirements are technically feasible and aligned with standards
• Identify operational impacts, support models, and training needs early in the process
• Maintain detailed documentation including business requirements, process maps, and testing plans
• Develop and deliver business and technical testing coordination and reporting
