Our financial services client is seeking a Senior Business Systems analyst (10+ years) to automate and enhance Independent Price Verification (IPV) processes within Capital Markets

Join a highly visible Capital Markets Technology team supporting market data systems powering derivatives trading and risk platforms. This role drives IPV workflow modernization, integrates vendor market data feeds, and improves valuation accuracy across Product Control and Market Risk environments. You will be a key contributor influencing data architecture and automation strategies within a high-impact regulatory initiative.

Contract, Toronto, Hybrid, 2-3 days/week (Tuesday is anchor day, other days flexible based on team alignment)

Must Haves

• 10+ years as a Business Systems Analyst with expertise in requirements gathering, documentation, stakeholder management, and Agile delivery
• Proven background in Capital Markets with strong Market Data knowledge of interest rate products, equities, and volatility
• Direct work with market data vendors including Bloomberg and Reuters/LSEG
• Ability to analyze and document market data flows, pricing validation processes, and vendor dependencies
• Experience with test case creation, data analysis, and functional/UAT testing
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Unix/Linux command line tools
• Basic Python or scripting experience
• Understanding of SDLC
• CFA or FRM designation

Responsibilities

• Translate complex Capital Markets business requirements into scalable technology solutions
• Collaborate with Market Risk, Trading, and Product Control teams to gather and refine requirements
• Partner with developers and subject matter experts to define functional and technical specifications
• Design functional test cases and lead testing and valuation activities
• Analyze market and reference data to generate insights supporting pricing and control processes
• Support concurrent project streams and assist with production or lower-environment issues as needed
• Act as a subject-matter expert on market data applications and IPV automation initiatives
