Our valued client is seeking a Senior Bilingual Cyber Security Advisor to provide expertise in cloud security architecture, IAM, security governance, and operational security best practices.

An initial 18-month contract with possible 6-month extension. Hybrid on site (3 days per week) in Ottawa, ON - 7.5 hour work days.

Responsibilities:

• Advise teams on security architecture and secure cloud configurations.
• Contribute to the design, implementation, and documentation of security solutions and controls.
• Provide knowledge transfer and support to internal teams.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of the operational security posture.
• Draft, manage, and execute Agile user stories in collaboration with Product Owners and squad members.
• Participate in sprints, scrums, and backlog refinement activities.
• Support the ramp-up of Agile teams.
• Involvement in the program (50% of workload)
• Provide support in the design, architecture, and secure implementation of cloud environments (Azure and AWS).
• Participate in the development and integration of cloud security governance frameworks, if required.

Must Have Skills:

• 10+ years experience in an IT Architecture role focusing in Cyber Security, including hands-on and advisory roles
• Experience in cloud security architecture (Azure) and IAM
• Knowledge of the NIST Cyber Security Framework as well as MITRE ATT&CK framework
• 3+ years experience as a Product Owner or Squad member on IT or cyber security projects
• 5+ years experience in working within the financial or banking sector
• Must hold a valid Government of Canada Reliability clearance
• Fluent communication skills in French and English

Nice to Have Skills:

• Recognized certification in cyber security or cloud
• Knowledge of the Canadian regulatory framework, including OSFI B-13
