Senior AWS QuickSight Developer to develop new applications using AI capabilities on the Quicksight platform for a healthcare client

Our valued healthcare client is seeking a Senior AWS QuickSight Developer to develop new applications using AI capabilities on the Quicksight platform for a healthcare client!

Initial 6-month contract with strong possibility of extension. Hybrid on-site (2 days/week) in North York, ON or Ottawa, ON - fixed on-site day for teamwork every Tuesday. 7.25 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

As the successful candidate, you will support a new initiative leveraging AWS QuickSight's AI capabilities to modernize reporting; designing and building innovative BI applications that harness machine learning features, anomaly detection, and other AI tools within QuickSight.

Responsibilities

• Be proficient in AWS Quicksight development, data modeling and dashboards/visualizations, reporting techniques, extensions and web integration of apps to Drupal web pages which are accessible.
• Be experienced in using AI features in AWS Quicksight and creating reporting applications with AI features built in for end users
• Have hands-on experience building applications with large data sets
• Have hands-on experience with data modeling, joins, filters, calculated fields, expression, parameterization, custom queries, direct queries, SPICE optimization.
• Be experienced in application design, architecture, development and deployment using AWS Quicksight. Applying the best practices for visualizations, the design must follow CIHI standards/UX guidelines/wireframes and be AODA (WCAG 2.0) compliant and bilingual (Eng/FR).
• Be able to understand and translate technical and business requirements into AWS Quicksight architectural designs.
• Be able to implement the proposed technical solution using the CIHI Cloud Technology stack (AWS, Redshift, S3, Informatica, Drupal).
• Be experienced with AWS Quicksight Management Console, including Management, Security rules and Maintenance of tasks, Extensions, Streams and Apps.
• Be experienced with handling performance issues with AWS Quicksight applications (Performance tuning).
• Have knowledge/experience in utilizing AWS Quicksight API’s for loading data, adding metadata, deployments.
• Have experience with automated deployments, source control.

Must-Have

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS QuickSight, working with Quicksight data assets management/develop data modeling, joins, filters, calculated fields, expression, parameterisation, custom queries, direct queries, SPICE optimization
• Experience with AWS Quicksight Q (Natural Language Query), Designing topics \, synonyms, data prep for Q, Embedding Q in Quicksight applications. Proven ability to integrate and automate BI solutions within AWS ecosystems.
• Experience with data integration in AWS utilizing a variety of data sources (csv files, Oracle 12c, Redshift, AWS S3, AWS Athena) and performance tuning with Quicksight
• Experience in developing Quicksight applications to fit Accessibility compliance rules (AODA WCAG 2.0) and Quicksight Customizing application.
• Experience in developing multilingual Quicksight applications (Eng/FR)

Nice to Have

• Experience embedding QuickSight visuals into web apps.
• Strong knowledge / experience working with Qlik Sense
• Familiarity with BI in healthcare or regulated sectors.
