Senior asset management Master Data Specialist (SAP) responsible for maintaining and optimizing equipment, functional location, and maintenance master data

Our utilities client is looking for a Senior asset management Master Data Specialist (SAP) responsible for maintaining and optimizing equipment, functional location, and maintenance master data within SAP EAM.

Must-haves:

• Experience working with asset master data (equipment, functional locations, BOMs, and spare parts).
• Proficiency in SAP EAM/PM/MM, including updating and maintaining material master and inventory data.
• Ability to collect, validate, and reconcile asset and spare parts information from multiple sources (nameplates, drawings, documentation).
• Strong capability to interpret technical drawings and retrieve documentation from DMS or similar repositories.
• Hands‑on experience performing physical inventory counts and comparing results to system records.
• Solid understanding of inventory management principles, including tracking, availability, and condition status of critical spares.
• Awareness of asset criticality, reliability programs, and how spares support operational continuity and risk mitigation.
• Analytical skills to connect asset and spares data to reliability, asset health, and maintenance strategies.
• Strong collaboration skills, especially coordinating remotely with site teams using MS Teams.
• Effective communication with engineering, operations, and supply chain stakeholders.
• Detail-focused, organized, and comfortable performing data-heavy, hands-on work.
