ML / AI Engineer (Agentic AI Solutions)

Our client is Canada's largest retailer. They are looking for a ML / AI Engineer to build machine learning and agentic AI solutions that enable teams to derive insights from data and optimize digital advertising campaigns.

The ideal candidate is a machine learning generalist who has experience developing, training, and deploying ML models into production environments.

Duration: 6 Months, to start

Location: Toronto - 1 day/week onsite

Responsibilities:

• Design and build machine learning and AI-driven solutions to support analytics and advertising initiatives.
• Develop agentic AI capabilities that allow systems to query and analyze business data autonomously.
• Build, train, and deploy machine learning models in production environments.
• Develop NLP and LLM-based applications for data insights and decision support.
• Work closely with engineering managers and cross-functional teams to define technical deliverables.
• Provide regular progress updates and maintain strong communication with stakeholders.
• Contribute to expanding features and capabilities for an existing alpha-stage AI product.

Must Haves:

• Strong experience building end-to-end Machine Learning solutions, and deploying ML models into production environments
• Experience building AI Agents or Agentic frameworks (LangGraph)
• Experience working with LLMs and NLP applications
• Proficient in Python, GO, and SQL
• Cloud experience: GCP Preferred, AWS/Azure accepted
