Description
Junior Technical Consultant to oversee the configuration and setup of mobile apps, kiosks, POS and other software solutions with one of our food service/hospitality clients- 1861
Location: Hybrid/Toronto or Mississauga (3 days a week onsite)
Duration: 1 year- good chance of extension
Hours: 37.5 Hours Per Week
Hourly Rate: 28-34 an hour
The Technical Consultant is a customer-facing role responsible for overseeing the configuration and setup of mobile apps, kiosks, POS, and other software solutions within Compass Digital. This role requires a deep understanding of the full product lifecycle, back-end configuration, and end-to-end solutions. The successful candidate will serve as a key liaison between operators and internal teams, ensuring seamless integration and optimal customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
· Collaborate closely with Operations teams to gather and verify all necessary information to deliver high-quality, accurate configurations.
· Ensure that menu data is entered and structured for optimal usability, presenting it in a user-friendly and effective manner for customers.
· Troubleshoot and resolve complex configuration challenges, working collaboratively with internal teams and Operations to ensure rapid resolution.
· Manage the timely execution of projects, keeping stakeholders updated on deliverable progress and addressing any risks or challenges proactively.
· Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Compass Digital’s in-house and third-party applications, understanding limitations, capabilities, and upcoming features.
· Provide expert-level consultation to Compass Group Operations teams on the best solutions for their operational needs, recommending enhancements and identifying opportunities for innovation.
· Work with the Product, Engineering and Design teams to propose new features, enhancements, and solutions that will improve customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
· Act as a trusted advisor to Operations team and Compass Digital teams, ensuring a seamless transition during software implementations, and providing continued support post-launch if applicable.
Qualifications:
· A post-secondary degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
· At least 5+ years of experience in software configuration, technical consulting, or similar roles.
· Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with both internal teams and external clients.
· Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate internal and external meetings, providing valuable insights and practical recommendations.
· Experience working with Jira and similar project management tools is an asset.
· A strong desire to learn and apply new technologies, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
· This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and client-facing capabilities, making it ideal for individuals with a passion for technology and customer success.
