Location: Toronto (Hybrid - 4 Days a week in office)

Duration: ASAP Until Oct 31, 2026 (Possibility for extension)

Standard Hours: Monday - Friday 9-5, 37.5 Hours Per Week

Story Behind the Need (Reason for Hiring)

The Marketing Planning & Enablement team is driving a major modernization effort across people, processes, and technology within Canadian Banking Marketing. This role is required to support the launch, scaling, and adoption of new marketing technologies, personalization capabilities, and benefit led marketing programs that enable data driven, customer first strategies.

Marketing transformation initiatives focused on personalization, targeted communications, marketing technology enablement, and end to end digital customer journey execution across owned and paid channels.


Typical Day in Role

• Translate marketing and business requirements into actionable data specifications and implementation roadmaps.

• Lead initiatives that enhance personalization and targeted communications across multiple channels.

• Coordinate cross functional teams to deliver seamless end to end digital customer journeys.

• Develop creative assets and campaign briefs aligned to benefit led strategies.

• Support annual and quarterly marketing planning cycles.

• Monitor consumer sentiment, competitive activity, and market conditions to inform agile planning.

• Analyze insights from research and data to guide strategic direction.

• Ensure adherence to Scotiabank brand standards and risk culture.

• Drive efficient execution while maintaining strong business controls and compliance.


Candidate Requirements / Must Have Skills

1. 3+ years planning and executing targeted/direct marketing campaigns (strategy, segmentation, performance analysis).

2. 2 + years of experience with marketing technology stack (email, owned digital channels, paid media management, content creation, AI powered martech).

3. 1+ years of experience with translating marketing requirements into data/technical specifications.

4. 2+ years working with Agile methodology.


Nice to Have Skills

1. Project management experience in a large/matrixed organization.

2. Experience with personalization, segmentation, and data driven marketing initiatives.

3. Familiarity with audience development and targeted marketing best practices.


Education & Certificates

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (preferred).

• Agile experience or certification is an asset.

• Hands on experience enabling marketing technology capabilities and personalization or innovation use cases.

• Strong ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and scalable roadmaps.

• Proven success leading cross functional marketing initiatives in a complex, matrixed environment.

• A proactive, detail oriented approach with strong strategic thinking and execution discipline.

• Comfort working with data driven marketing, segmentation, and digital customer journeys.

• High priority with experience working in an Agile marketing environment.
