Our client is Canada's largest retailer. They are looking for a Junior Financial Analyst to support the Cybersecurity portfolio, managing operational spend, ensure forecast accuracy, and maintain financial controls. This role is ideal for an early-career finance professional with strong Excel skills and a solid understanding of budgeting and forecasting processes.


Duration: 6 Months to Start

Location: Hybrid - 3 days/week in Brampton


The Cybersecurity Portfolio manages over $150 million in annual expenses.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support monthly budgeting cycles: compare actuals to forecasts and prepare cost plans.
  • Maintain up-to-date forecasting by tracking and validating weekly spend.
  • Reconcile SAP reports with service provider records and internal tools.
  • Assist in the management and tracking of Statements of Work (SOWs) and Purchase Orders (POs).
  • Monitor and maintain visibility into expenses across 13 periods (monthly cycles).
  • Leverage Excel to consolidate data, create tracking sheets, and support reporting.
  • Use internal financial consolidation tools (e.g., Accountable) to ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy.
  • Provide day-to-day financial support to the cybersecurity finance team, ensuring proactive spend management.


Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a financial analyst or junior finance role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, charts, formulas).
  • Strong financial acumen with an understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Experience reconciling financial data from tools such as SAP.
  • Ability to manage and track POs, SOWs, and vendor spend.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with financial planning tools or consolidation platforms (experience with “Accountable” is a plus).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
