Junior Deskside Support Technician to provide VIP level support for senior executives and stakeholders at a non-profit client

Our valued client is seeking a Junior Deskside Support Technician to provide VIP level support for senior executives and stakeholders at a non-profit client !


Initial 12 month contract- This role will require travel between two sites in Ottawa, ON (~10-12 min drive). On-site 5 days a week (8 hours/day), Monday to Friday.


Budgeted pay rate of $25/hr.


Responsibilities:

  • Activities related to the provisioning of IT services to end users.
  • PC computers imaging/build (Laptops, desktops, MacBooks, Ipad, etc.)
  • Shipping and receiving of IT devices
  • Manage/assist on the IT hardware inventory
  • Prepare disposals for IT equipment (such but not limited to Hard-drives, computers (desktops, laptops, Macbook), printers, monitors and some other peripherals, small electronics, servers, etc.)
  • Deployment and troubleshooting of Smartphones
  • Support Return to Office initiative (Set up meetings rooms, workspaces area, provide training, create documents, etc.). Move IT equipment.


Must-have- Skills

  • Experience as a Deskside Support / Technical Support Analyst
  • Experience with Windows 10, and Active Directory (AD)
  • Experience with configuring hardware (laptops, mobile devices, etc.)


Nice-to-have Skills

  • Prior experience with HEAT help desk ticketing system
  • MCSE and/or A+ certification
  • Experience supporting Office 365 and OneDrive
