Intermediate Project Manager to lead a eGRC Data Governance- Operational Risk Program with one of our major banking clients- 40152
Location Address: Toronto- Hybrid- 3 days a week on site
Contract Duration: ASAP - 10/30/2026 (Possibility of extension and conversion to FTE)
Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week (Possible OT)

The Enterprise Governance, Risk, and Compliance (eGRC) program is a strategic initiative focused on transforming how Scotiabank manages risk. As a holistic solution, it modernizes governance, risk, and compliance by integrating frameworks, processes, and regulatory requirements into a single, consistent platform. The eGRC enhances transparency, automates key activities, and supports data-driven decision making across all business functions, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and regulatory standards. The program ultimately aims to enhance organizational resilience and informed decision-making.
eGRC Data Governance
The eGRC Data Governance team is responsible for designing and implementing the core taxonomies, standards, and data governance structures that underpin the eGRC Program.
Typical Day in Role:
• Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
• Support the integration and enhancement of Operational Risk Program components (RCSA, KRIs, Issues Management, Operational Risk Events, NIRAs, Scenario Analysis) ensuring alignment with regulatory, audit, and enterprise risk appetite expectations.
• Lead data governance execution by maintaining data definitions, ensuring data integrity, and embedding standardized practices across eGRC workflows, while driving process improvements and automation to reduce manual effort, enhance data quality, and strengthen control evidence within the eGRC ecosystem.
• Collaborate with 1st and 2nd line teams, including Operational Risk, Compliance, Technology, and eGRC Governance groups, to maintain alignment between operational risk, data model, methodologies, and eGRC platform capabilities.
• Provide informed guidance and effective challenge to the eGRC Program and the Operational Risk Program, identifying gaps, emerging risks, and opportunities to strengthen OREs, NIRAs, RCSAs, issue remediation, KRIs, and scenario analysis.
• Support risk reporting, horizon scanning, and analytics, ensuring operational risk data supports decision making, regulatory expectations, and executive level reporting.
• Participate in risk related working groups and BAU change governance, assessing impacts of changes to risk frameworks, data structures, and program methodologies.
• Support ad hoc program needs by delivering high-quality analyses, materials, and change related deliverables in response to evolving priorities and stakeholder requirements.
• Provide strategic oversight and collaborate closely with all eGRC teams to ensure the program’s quality, effectiveness, and continuous improvement, with smooth processes, reliable data, strong user experiences, and the guardrails needed for a resilient, fully operational eGRC program.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1. 5+ years of program/data management experience in a consulting firm, finance or banking industry.
2. 3+ years of experience supporting the integration and enhancement of Enterprise Risk and Operational Risk Program components (RCSA, KRIs, Issues Management, Enterprise and Operational Risk Events, NIRAs, Scenario Analysis) ensuring alignment with regulatory, audit, and enterprise risk appetite expectations.
3. Previous experience collaborating with 1st and 2nd line teams, including Enterprise Risk and Operational Risk, Compliance, Technology, and eGRC Governance groups, to maintain alignment between operational risk, data model, methodologies, and eGRC platform capabilities.
4. Previous experience identifying gaps, emerging risks, and opportunities to strengthen OREs, NIRAs, RCSAs, issue remediation, KRIs, and scenario analysis.
5. previous experience leading data governance execution by maintaining data definitions, ensuring data integrity, and embedding standardized practices across eGRC workflows, while driving process improvements and automation to reduce manual effort, enhance data quality, and strengthen control evidence within the eGRC ecosystem
6. Familiarity with delivery and governance platforms, such as OpenPages, and ServiceNow.
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1. Risk management
2. Familiarity with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate, PowerBI.
Education: Bachelor’s degree; MBA is an asset.
Best VS. Average Candidate: The ideal candidate would have strong Operational and Enterprise risk management experience.
