Our public sector client is seeking a Intermediate Project Manager to assist with supply chain activities, including procurement, contract management, and project planning for a construction program

Candidates will be in-office 5 days/week. 37.5 hour work week

Must haves:

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager with a focus on Supply Chain activities (Construction experience is a bonus)
• Experience working with multiple Business Units for Procurement activities (accelerating procurement cycles, offering high‑demand service areas, assisting with urgent or time‑sensitive projects)
• Proficiency with procurement systems (e.g., SAP Ariba), workflow dashboards, or project management tools

Nice to haves:

• Ariba certification/experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Professional certifications (e.g., SCMP, PMP, CPPB/CPPO)

Responsibilities:

• Our client's Urgent Procurement Planning, Sequencing & Execution Monitoring Specialist is responsible for rapidly developing, coordinating, and managing procurement plans that support high‑priority operational and project needs.
• The role ensures that procurement activities are properly sequenced, capacity‑aligned, compliant, and executed on schedule.
• The Project Manager acts as the central point for monitoring procurement throughput, identifying risks or delays, escalating barriers, and driving timely action across Business Units (BUs), Supply Management, and supporting enabling services.
• This position supports accelerated procurement cycles, high‑demand service areas, and situations requiring urgent or time‑sensitive contracting-ensuring decisions are well‑documented, compliant, strategically planned, and optimized for speed and transparency
