Location Address: Hybrid - Scarborough - 2 days/week - (Wednesday is fixed, other day is flexible)

Subject to change: 3-5 days onsite may be required based on business needs

Contract Duration: 6 months (Possibility of extension & conversion to FTE)

Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week


Story Behind the Need

  • Business group: Vulnerability, Cybersecurity Operations - identification, prioritization and communication of identified vulnerabilities within the enterprise
  • Project: We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Content Specialist to support our Cybersecurity Operations team. This role will focus on developing compelling and visually engaging content for PowerPoint presentations, special projects, and program initiatives within the cybersecurity domain. In addition, the Content Specialist will create documentation specific to cybersecurity programs that will assist in the execution and operational success of these programs.


Typical Day in Role:

  • Content Development:
  • Create high-quality, visually appealing PowerPoint presentations for cybersecurity operations and executive reporting.
  • Develop written and visual content for special projects and strategic initiatives within cybersecurity programs.
  • Produce clear, structured documentation that supports the execution and delivery of cybersecurity programs.
  • Ensure all content aligns with organizational branding and messaging standards.
  • Collaboration & Independence:
  • Work closely with cybersecurity leaders and subject matter experts to translate technical concepts into clear, engaging content.
  • Manage multiple projects independently while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
  • Creative Strategy:
  • Bring innovative ideas to enhance storytelling and audience engagement.
  • Use design principles and best practices to create impactful visuals and layouts.


Must Have Skills:

  • 5+ years of content writing experience, with at least 2+ years in a global enterprise setting
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and other content creation tools
  • Experience working in technology domains
  • Experience with corporate branding and visual storytelling.


Nice-To-Have Skills:

  • Bilingual in Spanish is an asset
  • Experience with cybersecurity - if they have done technical writing for this space, will set them apart
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).


Education:

Bachelor’s


Best VS. Average Candidate:

The ideal candidate will combine strong communication and writing skills with a solid understanding of cybersecurity or technology concepts.

Looking for fit over function, someone who can integrate well into the team and hit the ground running; this role is great for a technical writer who is trying to expand their skills and be in management or be making a change as there is exposure to project/program management, technical writing. Need someone who can help them story tell their division and explain things at a higher level and showcase their organizational goals.
