Intermediate Business Analyst to manage vendors and vendor products for a digital banking team- 39092


Location Address: Hybrid - Toronto - 3 days/week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Subject to change: 3-4 days onsite may be required based on business needs

Contract Duration: 9 months (Possibility of extension & conversion to FTE)

Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week

Story Behind the Need

Business group: CBE Commerce and Communication - team is in commerce domain, managing applications supporting the bank; team of 11

Project: Need a resource to manage vendors and vendor products in digital commerce domain.

Typical Day in Role:

• Act as the primary point of contact for all vendor-related delivery activities.

• Monitor vendor performance against SLAs and KPIs.

• Manage contract compliance and escalate issues when necessary.

• Identify delivery risks and develop mitigation strategies.

• Ensure adherence to banking regulations, security standards, and data privacy laws.

• Communicate progress, risks, and issues to senior leadership.

• Facilitate collaboration between internal teams and external vendors.

• Track and manage project budgets, vendor invoices, and cost optimization.

• Ensure financial accountability and reporting for all vendor engagements.

• Manage treat risk assessments, Incident Play books, Disaster Recover Testing of vendor applications.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

1) 5+ years’ relevant working experience

2) Experience managing and negotiating vendor contracts and dispute resolution- managing SLAs, KPIs, and vendor performance.

3) Experience with contract budgets and invoice: budget planning, cost control, Vendor invoice validation and financial reporting.

4) Experience with risks vulnerabilities related to vendor products

5) Proficiency in project management tools (Jira, MS Project, ServiceNow).

Nice-To-Have Skills:

1) Familiarity with banking systems, APIs, and cloud platforms.

Education:

Diploma/Bachelor’s

Best VS. Average Candidate:

BEST requires minimal hand holding, can take ownership of their work without needing to constantly check in, proactive in providing solutions and investigating problems

Strong background in vendor contract management as per Must haves 2-4

1st with HM

2nd with Director
