Summary

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, tracking and implementing projects. This includes acquiring resource and coordinating team members’ effort. Some projects may involve vendor and/or third-party contractors. The Project Manager, in conjunction with all IT team members and business stakeholders, will define project’s business and technical requirements.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in the financial services industry
  • Experience leading a variety of projects involving large cross-functional teams, across multiple disciplines and lines of business
  • Experience managing projects with technical development and third-party vendors
  • Experience in waterfall and agile development methodology
  • Experience with Scrum practices, principles and values
  • University Degree or Certificate/Diploma in Computer Sciences from a university or community college, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • Strong leadership, organization, project management, interpersonal, communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
  • Able to multi-task, work in fast-paced environment under pressure
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite, MS Project, JIRA/Confluence
  • Understanding of AWS or other cloud technologies


Job Description

  • Plan, direct and coordinate activities of assigned project(s) to ensure project objectives are accomplished within approved timeframe, scope and budget in accordance with IT Governance standards
  • Define project scope and deliverables to achieve business objectives. Plan, schedule and track project tasks to ensure milestones are met.
  • Acquire and manage the IT project team and resources; Assign accountability and responsibility clearly and unambiguously
  • Establish, develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners/sponsors, internal and external partners
  • Create stakeholder communication plan; Monitor project status and report to key stakeholders as per plan
  • Working closely with the delivery team, identify technical issues and risks and define mitigation approach
  • Work with all stakeholders, IT and business, to accomplish project objectives
  • Manage project timelines, risks, and cost; Assess and control project change requests
  • Manage and coordinate scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, Daily Scrum, sprint review and sprint retrospective
  • Remain current with technology, trends, and techniques and share expertise with other team members
  • May be asked to help with various project related activities
