Duration: Until December 31, 2026

Location: Downtown Toronto - Hybrid (2 days onsite: Tuesday & Wednesday; flexibility as needed)

Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm; some overtime may be required

Context & Project Scope

The role supports a major transition project involving the migration of custody and fund administration services from the current provider to a new provider by year‑end. The contractor will act as a backfill manager, overseeing two analysts and ensuring continuity of day‑to‑day operations. They will also provide high‑level support for the transition activities, including coordination with custodians and internal stakeholders.


Role Summary:

Reporting to the Director, Fund Administration, SLGI Asset Management Inc., the role of Manager, Fund Administration will assist managing a team of two analyst. The Manager, Fund Administration will be responsible for the day-to-day activities including the daily oversight of the NAV calculation for all SLGI Mutual Funds, Corporate Class Funds and GIF Seg Funds. They will assist managing the coordination of fund changes (new funds, fund closures, mergers, name changes, etc.) with internal and external partners (RBC Investor and Treasury Services, International Financial Data Services (IFDS), sub advisors) that affect our Fund Administration Team. They will also support where needed, the transition of the custody and fund administration business from current service provider to a new service provider by end of the year.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Main Accountabilities:

  • Oversee all day-to-day activities of the Fund Administration team especially the daily oversight functions of the NAV calculation for all the SLGI Mutual Funds, Corporate Class Funds and GIF Seg Funds.
  • Review of any NAV errors and their impacts.
  • Oversee and lead all fund changes that impact Mutual Funds, Corporate Class Funds and GIF Seg Funds for the Fund Administration Team, including:
  • Reviewing Prospectus and Annual Information Forms.
  • Participating in working group meetings established for each transition.
  • Work on fund setups with internal and external third-party vendors (RBC Investor and Treasury Services and International Financial Data Services (IFDS)).
  • Review and sign-off of merger activities to ensure general ledgers are all in line, tax implications are addressed and adhered to and there are no audit issues.
  • Assist the Director, Fund Administration with managing the relationship with our fund administrator RBC Investor and Treasury Services.
  • Back up and support Director, Fund Administration.

Critical Skills / Must-Haves:

  1. Minimum 5 years with people management and coaching experience, preferably with a Fund Accounting background
  2. Business knowledge and experience related to Mutual Fund Trust, Mutual Fund Corporation, and Segregated Funds industry.
  3. Excellent PC skills (Excel, Word, Adobe, Access) with proficiency to manage large data sets systematically and efficiently.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work effectively while managing multiple tasks.

Nice-to-Haves:

  1. Familiarity with RBC systems, Trust, Milvus, RBCIS Online, MPower, MView or CIBC Mellon systems, Nexen, Eagle, GSP.
  2. Strong understanding of compliance and oversight functions.
  3. Designation already as a CPA, CMA, CFA but not required.


Education: University/College degree at a minimum.

Primary Focus of the Role

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to two analysts
  • Resolve operational issues and ensure accuracy in NAV oversight
  • Step into day‑to‑day tasks only when analysts are unavailable
  • Support transition activities at a high level
