Finance Lead – SAP S/4HANA Implementation (Post-Explore Phase)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Finance Lead to join our SAP S/4HANA program following the completion of the Explore phase. The Finance Lead will own the Finance workstream through the Realize, Deploy, and Run phases, ensuring SAP Finance (FI/CO) processes are successfully configured, tested, and integrated. This role requires a strong combination of financial domain expertise, SAP Finance technical knowledge, and the ability to optimize processes in line with industry standards.

Duration: 6 months plus extension

Work Mode: 100% remote

Responsibilities

• Lead the Finance workstream during the SAP implementation project from Realize through Go-Live.
• Translate signed-off Explore deliverables into functional design, configuration, and build of SAP FI/CO processes.
• Configure and customize SAP FI/CO modules (General Ledger, AP, AR, Asset Management, Financial Close, Controlling).
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to reengineer finance processes and align them with SAP best practices.
• Ensure smooth integration of SAP Finance with other modules (MM, SD, PP, HR) and external systems.
• Lead testing efforts (SIT, UAT) for Finance-related processes and solutions.
• Oversee finance data migration, reconciliation, and validation activities.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to project team members and act as the primary liaison for Finance.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and industry regulations throughout the solution design.
• Support cutover planning, training, and go-live stabilization activities

Must-Haves

• Deep understanding of financial principles and accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS).
• Expertise in financial processes: General Ledger, AP/AR, Asset Management, and Financial Close.
• Extensive experience in SAP Finance (FI/CO or S/4HANA Finance) - configuration, customization, and integrations.
• Proven experience leading Finance workstreams in SAP S/4HANA implementation or transformation projects.
• Strong skills in process analysis and reengineering for finance processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional workshops and drive consensus on design decisions.
