Enterprise Architect to act as the subject matter expert in remote access solutions (Azure Virtual Desktop) to build architectural design and Service Roadm

Our client is seeking an Enterprise Architect to act as the subject matter expert in remote access solutions (Azure Virtual Desktop) to build architectural design and Service Roadmap for Disaster Recovery and ITSM improvements. (693)

This is expected to be a remote role but must be worked within Canada and during MST business hours with an anticipated 36.25 work week. Must bring own laptop

Mandatory Requirements (Must-Haves):

• (M1) 10+ years of combined education and experience as an IT professional
• (M2) 3+ years of experience developing on cloud platforms and utilizing cloud services in development and in solutions.
• (M3) 5+ years of experience in defining technical architecture, building technical environments, supporting software development processes and initiatives, software configuration and database management.
• (M4) 5+ years of experience in gathering requirements from a diverse group of stakeholders across ministries or departments.
• (M5) 3+ years of experience in multiple architecture domains e.g. business, application, technology, data/information, security, and privacy.
• (M6) 5+ years of experience with process improvement, documentation and requirement gathering
• (M7) 3+ years of with triaging technical issues/problems and troubleshooting.
• (M8) 5+ years of experience with written and verbal communications including specific experience in drafting strategic business and technical documentation.

Desired Skills:

• (R1) 1+ years of experience collecting requirements, analyzing, designing or implementing M365 products and services, either on-premises or in a cloud infrastructure-as-a-service environment.
• (R2) 1+ years of experience collecting requirements, analyzing, designing or implementing Microsoft Power Platforms products and services, either on-premises or in a cloud infrastructure-as-a-service environment.
• (R3) 5+ years of experience in designing, building, testing, deploying, and supporting applications in an enterprise IT environment equivalent in size and complexity to the Government of Alberta.
• (R4) 5+ years of experience in designing architecture to support remote work and/or field-based workers.
• (R5) 3+ years of experience in developing new IT services including the development of service definitions, service measurements, cost models, processes, implementation and operational hand over.
• (R6) 1+ years of experience in IT infrastructure architecture and the relationships among the components that make up an IT service from end-user devices to servers, networks, storage, applications and data.
• (R7) 3+ years of experience in the design, development and implementation of complex IT solutions.
• (R8) 3+ years of experience with IT service management, IT service management applications, IT application development and maintenance projects.
• (R9) 3+ years of experience with User Acceptance Testing processes on large, complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
• (R10) 2+ years of experience working within an agile development environment.
• (R11) 3+ years of experience performing IT and/or business-related analysis, diagnosis, problem-solving, use case or scenario development, communication, presentations, planning, estimating, and documentation.

About the Role:

The Remote Access Technical Architect provides support to the Service Manager and Service Owner to assist with day-to-day operational duties ensuring the services are operating at peak efficiency, and that the Service architecture is configured to minimize costs and optimize the user and management experience. The Architect must understand the technical capabilities of the Azure Virtual Desktops (AVD) environment and be able to work in a collaborative manner with both the Service Provider and other technical teams
