Our financial services client is seeking a Professional - Content Editor - Expert (2-5 years) to design and optimize human-centered digital content for public-facing websites

Join a collaborative digital design pod within a leading financial institution delivering end-to-end public website content for brands such as CIBC.com and Simplii Financial. This role develops SEO-optimized, accessible and brand-aligned copy across multiple digital properties. The position offers visibility across business, marketing, regulatory and legal teams within a highly integrated design organization. It is a backfill opportunity with potential for extension or conversion.

Contract, Toronto, Hybrid In office every Wednesday and the third Friday of every month.

Must Haves

  • Degree in English, Marketing, Journalism or Technical Writing, or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years in digital marketing or editorial environments focused on web/digital content
  • Excellent working knowledge of CP Style for writing and editing
  • 2+ years creating marketing content for web and digital properties
  • Experience collaborating with UX and Creative Design teams using tools such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Confluence, and Jira

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AEM or similar CMS
  • Familiarity with enterprise publishing/workflow tools
  • Experience with Product Design Leads
  • Knowledge of content strategy, inclusive writing, and WCAG 2.0 accessibility standards
  • Working understanding of SEO, UX, and Figma
  • Financial or banking industry background

Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and proofread content that aligns with brand voice, accessibility requirements, and plain language principles
  • Research and support content strategy through competitive analysis and usability inputs
  • Conduct content walkthroughs with project and stakeholder teams, securing approvals and maintaining version control
  • Build and update content pages within the CMS, ensuring consistency and accuracy
  • Collaborate with UX and visual design teams to deliver optimized, user-first digital experiences
  • Support onboarding and training on editorial workflow and CMS authoring processes
  • Advocate for cohesive content that meets both business objectives and user needs
