Description
Our client is seeking a Business Systems Analyst for a Banner decommissioning project.
Initially a 6-months contract to start with possibilities of additional renewals. Hybrid model in Vancouver 2 days/week on-site (Thursdays included) in based in BC, remote candidate working in PST with Ellucian Banner experience can be considered. 35 hours/week.
You will lead the analysis and planning required to retire Banner ERP system. This includes understanding current architecture, dependencies, data migration needs, and designing the transition strategy.
Must Have:
- 7+ years in Business Systems Analysis
- Hands-on experience decommissioning ERP or systems preferably Ellucian Banner (Banner system architecture, data flows, and module components)
- Experience with data migration mapping and system integration planning.
- Ability to perform dependency mapping and impact analysis for system shutdown.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the business and technical analysis of the existing Banner ERP system, including architecture, data flows, and module-level components.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to document system dependencies and perform detailed impact analyses.
- Design and document data migration mapping and ensure secure, compliant transfer or archiving of historical data.
- Plan and coordinate system integration transitions during and after decommissioning.
- Provide recommendations for long-term data archiving and access strategies post-decommissioning, ensuring adherence to institutional and regulatory requirements.
- Develop a comprehensive decommissioning roadmap, including risk mitigation strategies and communication plans.
- Work with Banner-specific tools such as Xtender and Luminis to facilitate the transition and data handling.
- Ensure minimal disruption to ongoing operations during the decommissioning process.
- Support internal teams in designing and documenting new workflows where needed post-decommissioning.
