Position Title: Business Systems Analyst / QA

Line of Business: Global Asset Management group

Duration: 6 months

Remote/Hybrid: Hybrid. Core day every week is Thursday. Last Friday of every month without exception.

Office Location: 81 Bay 11th Floor

Work Schedule (hours per week, start time): 37.5 Hours/week, 9-5 Monday to Friday

Job Description:

We are seeking three highly motivated Business Analyst / QA with strong experience in Asset Management / Financial Services to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, documenting current and future state processes, and leading QA efforts including the creation of test plans and test cases. You will be working on one or multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment, working cross-functionally with stakeholders, developers, and operations teams to drive high-quality solutions.

Core responsibilities:

Engage with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements.

Develop current vs. future state process flows and identify gaps or improvement areas.

Create BRDs, FRDs, and user stories.

Document functional specifications, data flows, and system integrations.

Develop and execute test cases; perform functional and regression testing.

Analyze and document test results; collaborate with developers on issue resolution.

Use tools like Azure DevOps or Jira for tracking tasks, user stories, defects, and test cases.

Collaborate with developers and SMEs to ensure end-to-end solution quality.

Perform data validation using SQL and assist with root cause analysis.

Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)

Must Have Requirement:

-5+ years as a Business Analyst and/or QA Analyst, preferably in Asset Management or Financial Services.

-Strong experience in fast-paced, cross-functional teams.

-Proficiency in documenting workflows and requirements.

-Hands-on experience with test case creation and execution.

-Basic SQL proficiency for data validation and queries.

-Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools.

Nice to Have:

- Understanding and documenting end-to-end logic in Excel Macros or Alteryx pipelines.

- Creating proof of concept/demos using scripting or Excel Macros.

- Experience with Databricks or similar tools for schema/table design and data modeling.

- Experience with Spark, Pandas, and dashboarding tools (Power BI, Databricks).

- Experience working with developers to define domain/functionality-driven APIs.

- Working knowledge of macros, EUC tools, and Excel automation.
